Anti-Oedipus: Capitalism and Schizophrenia (Deleuze & Guattari)
Deleuze & Guattari’s Anti-Oedipus: Capitalism and Schizophrenia was a central reference point for me: there’s an excerpt in the anthology From Modernism to Postmodernism (Ed. Lawrence J. Cahoone). I’d had to get the anthology for the graduate school philosophy class which turned out to the centralizing research area for my thesis—more on this later. It was the Anti-Oedipus excerpt that was there with me to see that language of the body’s experience had obvious precedent in serious philosophy. Both my intellectual and my writer were present.
