IMAGINARIUM & IMAGINARIUM: The Sequel

IMAGINARIUM is what I titled the area of my practice in which I’ve developing content for my solo repertoire. I’ve given performances; what I’ve termed Ficta-Lectures; and other types of solo appearances. I draw from the content I’ve developed in somewhat of a theme & variations functionality.

During my stay at SAIC, I drew from content I’d been developing, including content related to living so nearby a lighthouse back home in Staten Island, New York. Importantly in the literary tradition, Modernist Virginia Woolf’s utilizes the a lighthouse: To The Lighthouse. Meanwhile, Ernest Hemingway made his home in Key West, Florida, right near the lighthouse there. I’ve improvised a series of riffs that I utilize frequently.

I’m currently at work on a sequel of IMAGINARIUM content that juxtaposes the Key West location with the Staten Island location to where I have returned. The content currently is being developed as a culture jam: DUVALL & DUVALL.
